These were like holy grail items for me.

  2. Nice set. I wish that The Beatles had released their stuff with that handsome packaging.

Most of my top picks have already been mentioned - so here are a few less obvious choices.

Big Joe Turner - Big Bad & Blue
    Atlantic Rhythm & Blues: 1947-1974
Soul & Swagger: The Complete 5 Royales
In Yo Face! The History Of Funk

That's what I was thinking! The sound is phenomenal. There were some people fussing about the minimal packaging, discs being housed in cardboard sleeves, etc but there is no pleasing everyone.

    Same here.

Even though I own many of the Elvis box sets and singles collections (the good ones, mediocre ones and even the disappointing ones,) I am running out of the house with this one...Screw my Computer, family heirlooms and HDTVs. LOL. If I can carry another one, it would be the FTD A Boy From Tupelo box with Book and CDs.

In addition to the Complete Elvis Presley Masters, some of my other favorite Elvis box sets have already been mentioned.

    Some more of my favorites:

The Beatles Stereo and Mono Remasters Box Sets
    Pink Floyd Discovery
Pink Floyd Immersion Sets (TDSOTM, WYWH, The Wall with marbles and all. LOL)
The Who 30 Years of Maximum R&B
    Complete Billy Joel Collection
Complete Judas Priest Collection (not for the sound but because it contains all the JP albums, up to that point, in one collection.)
Judas Priest Single Cuts: The complete UK singles Collection box
Iron Maiden - Eddie's Archive Ltd Ed. Box
Iced Earth - Dark Genesis Box Set
Iced Earth - Slave To The Dark Box Set
Blind Guardian - A Traveler's Guide In Space And Time Box Set
    Aerosmith - Box of Fire
Cheap Trick Complete Epic Albums Collection Box Set
The Rolling Stones - Charlie Is My Darling
The Rolling Stones - Grrr! Super Deluxe Box Set
Led Zeppelin Boxes (original 1990 and 1992 boxes with the first remasters)
Led Zeppelin Definitive Collection Japan Mini-LP Box (2008. Even though it has same remasters from '90s sets, I love this one because of the packaging with the minis.)
CCR - Absolute Originals (Analogue Productions)
The Doors - Infinite (Analogue Productions)
The Doors - Perception Box Set
John Mellencamp - On The Rural Route 7609
Deep Purple - Machine Head 40th Anniversary Box Set
Kiss - The Casablanca Singles Ltd. Ed. Box Set
U2 - Achtung Baby 20th Anniversary Super Deluxe Box Set
U2 - The Joshua Tree 20th Anniversary Super Deluxe Box Set
U2 - The Unforgettable Fire 25th Anniversary Super Deluxe Box Set
    Queen 40 (40th Anniversary Box sets Vol. 1, 2, 3)

Probably a few more I am forgetting. Also, I have yet to get the recent Led Zeppelin Remasters sets, but I plan to.

  14. Any bonus material not previously released?

  15. I know that (deservedly based on the Robert Palmer reissues among some other titles) Edsel takes it on the nose a lot but I am really enjoying the Ian Dury box. Wish they had included the DVD from the New Boots and Panties reissue (I have it but I hate having duplicates) along with the two bonus tracks not included in it. Then it would be perfect.

The mastering on this set is pretty good as well.

It's the five albums and a bonus "Live" album version of Electro-Shock Blues.

Beautifully packaged, very good quality records.

There are also prints of the album covers included, which could be framed, I guess.

    In no particular order:

    Sandy Denny
Who Knows Where The Time Goes is a brilliant set. I have it on vinyl and CD
The Live at the BBC box was essential, too, but that the other Sandy Box were all relegated to the upstairs library by the big 19 disc Sandy Denny Complete.
    King Crimson
All the box sets, from the Great Deceiver to Larks Tongues, The Road To Red, Starless and Thrak fail to disappoint.
    Beatles
The 2009 Stereo and Mono CD boxes and the 2014 Mono LP box are pretty much treasures.
    Jimi Hendrix
    The Purple Box
    The Police
    Message In a Box
    Peter Gabriel
    So
    Fanny
For The First Time - the Rhino box that collects pretty much every note officially recorded by Fanny, save the odd radio show (released on Earl Slick's label for those who want it).
    Cactus
I know they're not held in high regard in many circles, but I love 'em and am thrilled to have their output in the three sets.

I came so close to grabbing that box, pretty cool, the 'Rotten World Blues' EP would of been a nice addition... :)

Hi...can we please have a link to the plethora of negative reviews on the Roxy Music vinyl boxset that deem this set to be a complete an utter failure?

Oh. I also forgot to list all the Paul McCartney Archival Ltd. Numbered Deluxe sets. Some are better than others, but for the most part, I enjoy them all.

I haven't got the box, but I do have The Promise, the album remaster, and the standalone DVD. I don't even have the other stuff - and I can already say this is how deluxe editions should be done.
