    Absolutely ri-di-cu-lous!

No autotune, the guy recorded every harmony, and every line sounds divine. The insane section from 2:00 onward is out-of-this-world.

I love this stuff! Brad in his prime was truely the ultimate high vocal rock ballad singer. Even if one is a Boston band hater theyd have to recognize that this guy had chops that were from another planet.

Even the great Steve Perry at his best lives in this guys shadow when it comes to soaring above all others.

Very impressive. I'm not a Boston fan or into this style of music, but More Than A Feeling is a great record.

I'm speechless. Actually not the first time that song has done that.

The next time I hear some ding-a-ling rag on Boston as being "soulless corporate rock" or whatever I will recall this and laugh. What an incredible voice, I always envied it. What a brilliant arrangement. He really knew what he was doing.

Agreed. Something like that would have made a great performing arrangement.

Wow that was truly amazing! That first Boston album is truly a classic and still sounds way ahead of it's time.

Thanks for sharing this. I have always had a ton of respect for Brad's singing, especially as I got older and learned to sing. This song is one that I have always tried (and failed) to sing as pitch perfect and as intensely he did.

I'm a good singer with some good range but his extends far beyond what is normal. Steven Tyler is another unique animal in his power and high-end range. Try to sing that last note on Dream On, for instance. And he's still doing it at (almost) 70 years of age! Insane!

When in the hands of a master, the human voice sounds utterly beautiful. When you consider very very few could sing that, it makes you even more thankful that Brad Delp recorded this.

Tom Scholtz was a very lucky man. Not only did he have the chops to record and perform all of these songs but he found Brad who knocked it out of the park! Imagine how stale these songs would sound with somebody else singing them.

His timbre is so inviting and his singing absolutely effortless. Masterfully done. I continue and will forever be impressed.

Steven Tyler SO makes me mad! His range is pretty much the same as mine for the most part - he's not one of these guys like Dio who starts out on the high end and still sounds thick and brutal - but then those HIGH notes! I can sing all of "Dream On" perfectly until he makes that octave jump!

The human voice is the ultimate instrument and Brad was probably the very best example of that kind of singing that you could hear. He oughta be alive and living in a palace now, not passed on from suicide fueled by deep depression.

And not just range, but in power, intensity.

He's a tenor, I'm a baritone, so I am not supposed to be able to sing in his range. It doesn't stop me from trying, though.

I can't wait to hear this (I'm at work)! I always hoped we would get some kind of Brad Delp outtakes or whatever but figured Scholz would never let it out.

I hope you'll explore some of Brad's non-Boston vocals. Some of it is pretty forgettable, but there are also some nice songs out there that I think a lot of folks are completely unaware of. I started a thread about some of those recordings some time back:

Fans of the band Boston - have you heard Brad Delp's other lead vocals?
