Purple Marie made plenty of bad decisions. Just ask her therapist. And the staff of Gertrude Zachary's. And a few realtors.

Enjoying my third viewing of this series..even better than my second view. Bryan Cranston will be ever immortalised with his Walter White character.

Krysten Ritter looks hot in this.
Good to see her in Jessica Jones.

Thanks to Netflix my wife and I got hooked again and are re-watching all the episodes on our new OLED TV. They look fabulous; I think Netflix streams them in 4k.

I am amazed at how well it all holds up, even having seen the whole series before. Jesse just got clean and we are now seeing Gus and the cousins introduced. And of course every moment with Saul on screen is a delight. What a fabulous show.

Did it ever jump the shark? Maybe, with the outlandish train robbery and Gus building the giant underground meth lab. But do I mind? Naah.

I think it sometimes circled the sharks but never jumped, some wildly implausible things happened but it always worked and made for interesting tv. I wasn't thrilled with some of the musical montages but that's me. it was a really good show/sometimes great (imo)

The knock against Saul is generally that it's too slow. But that deliberate pace is exactly what I love so much about the show.

Yup, spot on. Better Call Saul is one of those rare shows where the hour will fly by and when someone asks me to recap the episode, I have a hard time. The writing and acting are so good that all the little moments are absolutely engrossing. Vince Gilligan and company have outdone themselves, without having to rely on some of the ridiculous plot developments found within Breaking Bad. Bob Odenkirk deserves every award he gets too.

The brain is a lot further back in the lower part of the skull than you might imagine - a lot of hollow space of the mouth and the sinuses. Gus's face could be torn off by the explosion and crush a lot of sinus cavities without exposing his brain. I know this because a friend of mine had a "baseball size" tumor in her sinuses removed last year - so there's enough space to hold a baseball above the roof of the month, behind the eyes and in front of the brain. She had this extensive surgery, and lost part of the roof of her mouth but didn't lose either eye.

I enjoyed the first 3 seasons. By the 4th season I sort of had enough. Can't exactly explain why. Maybe I found the episodes started lacking imagination and got more "soap opera"ish" than the first 3.

Umm, No-I think that Train Robbery was one of the best episodes of the entire series-IMHO.

I would say that was at or near the top for me. I watched that one twice when the show was still on the air, and I was still impressed with it from start to finish. That ending just blew me away, when you go from elation that they actually pulled off the heist (against incredible odds), and then they have that little problem to deal with...
