Not my fave Bruce era, but as long as he keeps whipping out the shows, I shall continue downloading them. Decades we have been waiting and griping and waiting for him to crack open yon vaults, my friends. DECADES. I am giving each and every one of these here gift horses a shiny apple and a sugar cube.

80-85 are my favorite years for Bruce's vocals. Thunder road killed in 84. I'm a bit excited actually, and I haven't heard the show before. And I guess the majority haven't either.

Brad Serling from nugs.net tells us, "The big news with this one is its our first DSD release — an audiophile format that's 64x the resolution of a CD."

This should be fun. I predict the weakest sounding DSD ever :-popcorn:

    Nope.

"No Surrender" and "Nebraska" are from August 6 -- the next night.

And "Trapped" was from August 6 as well -- but not on the LIVE album but on Essential and the USA for Africa album.

A few tracks on 1975-85 were from later shows in that series at Meadowlands, but nothing from this show: Nebraska and No Surrender from 6 August, Reason to Believe from 19th and Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out from the 20th.

    1. Does Backstreets have the beautiful intro by Bruce and the small part of Sad eyes?

  14. If this is going to be a new mix from the multi-tracks, it will be interesting to see if it has been mixed in the same way that the Nassau Coliseum 1980 was mixed (too much audience cheering over the music).

Wasn't the show at the SPAC on this tour an odd show, it had some b-sides played.

One of only a handful of shows in 1984-5 that didn't open with "Born In The USA". It was "Badlands" in this case and "Thunder Road" for a few others.

Right. One of my favorites from back in the bootleg days was the stand at Alpine Valley -- I had that set on vinyl and I treated it like gold (and it sounded great -- still does). And that started with "Thunder Road"...I surprised that it took him so long to realize that USA would be a killer opener!

Awesome. Looking forward to this as I dont have any good BITUSA boots. All the other releases as good as they are, I had awesome recordings from those tours. This is the only one I dont have. I personally love the setlist and assuming the sound is good, I can see this being listened to more than the others just based on the fact that I havent heard a good recording from the tour. This is outstanding what Bruce is doing. I wish U2 would follow suit! Never happen but one can wish.

I saw him four times on that tour (all before he started playing stadiums and ruined the set by removing "Rosalita" and "Jungleland"), and just may have been at this show. The one I saw that I wish had been released was the 8/20/84 show which closed a long run at the Meadowlands where Miami Steve came on in full Little Steven garb and did "Two Hearts" as the final encore. Just an amazing show, and the last time (of a dozen) that I saw Springsteen.

    This will be awesome *

    * Prediction of rest of thread

    - This is amazing!
    - Best archive release yet!
    - Which multi-tracks were used?
    - Why this night? nights 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10 were better
    - This sounds terrible, boot was better
    - Why are they releasing this crappy stuff?
