Did you get it?
Why is that an impossibility ? I've checked tracking on a Sunday many times, in the same time frame you're referring to, saw my order was coming, and received it on the Monday before.
It did not arrive before I left unfortunately...would have been nice to have for the trip, but oh well. I'm listening to it right now at least.
Recently I had the pleasure of visiting Portland, ME and the Moose was within walking distance to my hotel. Bought several items including The Who Brunswick singles 45 box, still sealed at half price. The staff were very nice and helpful. I hope I can get back one day.
Bull Moose are a highly respectable retailer who seem to take pride in every transaction. Above all else, they're incredibly honest. God bless Bull Moose!
I refuse to take this for granted. I won't.
Everybody, I mean everybody ships an album USPS Media Mail.
I bought a copy of the Hendrix Freedom: Atlanta Pop Festival from the Bull.
$33.97 which qualifies for free shipping.
They shipped it Priority ! It's nearly here already. Should be inside by Friday !!!
Soundstage Direct shipped the new Joe Walsh 7 days ago. It's been sitting in Memphis for 2 days now.
Bull Moose. A Class act.
Seeing this thread reminds me how much the semi-annual RSD haters really hurt the forum by driving Chris out of here.
I e mailed him my post yesterday. Today I woke up to his response, " thank you for noticing," was the part that jumped out at me. To him, such selflessness, and putting his customers first is just natural. Wow. Far and few between, that's for damn sure.
What's "RSD haters"? I might have figured it out "Record Store Day"?
Huge fan of Bull Moose ! I love visiting the local Portsmouth, NH store to browse their inventory and to chat with the staff. Awesome music stores on so many levels! Brings me back to my days of visiting record stores in the Boston area in the early '70s .
I have the Salem NH Bullmoose about 10 minutes from my home, yet yesterday my wife and I took an hour and a half drive to a couple Bullmoose in Maine. We do it a couple times a year.
The Portsmouth NH store is a great location also, my wife used to work in Portsmouth.
Any good finds at the Maine stores?
No not really, a couple finds in the clearance area, but nothing worth mentioning.
It wasn't us foreigners asking why they won't deal with us? I was certain we could take the credit.
I ordered 5 or 6 leftover rsd things from different sellers. bull moose was the LAST order I placed and the package arrived FIRST, days before any others.
I was going to pick up the Sgt Pepper box set on the 26th, but now am not going to be in town until the 29th. I had asked my favorite BM store if they would have plenty of stock, and all they could tell me was that they would get whatever was ordered for them. I emailed customer service to see if I could pre-order and have my copy held at the store, and they've just responded that a copy will be held for me and I can pay when I pick it up. That was unexpected, and just another reason why I love these guys (and gals)!
Yes, this is a service Bullmoose will do with preorders etc.
It really is tough to beat them.
I was just pleased I didnt have to pre-pay. I've had them hold orders for me at the store before, but I didn't realize they would do that for advance orders. The clerk at my fave store (I have 3 within 10 minutes from my house, which is dangerous) didn't mention I could do that, either. 25 years shopping with them and I learned something new!
Live near Portland? There's some cool shops up that way, including all the Bull moose.
Another vote for the Moose, great customer service. Ordered Dicks Picks and cd case was really cracked up, shipped it back and they gave me my return shipping back and packaged it so it wouldn't crack again. No hassle
Went to place a big order and BM doesn't accept Amex. They only accept 3 cards. Why would they limit themselves to 3 cards when the rest of the planet uses more than 3? Do I have any other options?
You could use MasterCard or Visa.
Amex is the only card I have.
Don't they use paypal too?
I don't think so. Not yet anyway.
IIRC from my retail days, credit card companies collect from both ends of the transaction. From you and I they get interest (if we choose to defer payment). From the merchant they get a very small percentage of the sale. Amex charges the merchant a higher rate (because they don't collect interest from the buyer) than the other cards do. Therefore many retail establishments do no accept them.
