    Hello esteemed forum.

I've been on a big Star Trek: The Next Generation kick lately and I thought that they could have still produced episodes that were fresh and interesting.

In other words, there was a possibility of more to be explored without getting tired or bored.

So I ask you the same question: what TV show do you feel could have continued producing new episodes? It's a different question than what TV show you wish was still on the air.

    Thanks.

  2. They pulled Angel off the air arguably at its creative peak. It was getting expensive and ratings were in decline, which is why it got canceled.

Pushing Daisies was my favorite show. I'm not sure how much longer they could keep it up though. And I'm sure it was an expensive show.

The most obvious one is Firefly. That had the potential to be one of the all-time great sci-fi series and it was killed off halfway through its first season! With Joss Whedon behind it, it could easily have gone for five seasons. Another one which I saw with potential was The Dresden Files which only lasted 13 episodes. A quirky but fun show about a wizard detective.

Firefly is the obvious choice I would think.

Dead Like Me is another show that was ruined and killed off by stupid studio heads. Plus Mandy Patinkin walking out and Rebecca Gayheart's vehicular manslaughter conviction didn't help.

Terminator: The Sarah Connnor Chronicles could have easily gone for another couple of years. It was better than the movies Terminator 3 and Terminator Salvation IMO.

I was a huge fan of Pushing Daisies too. It and Chuck started the same time and they were both so sweet, funny and entertaining. I am still shocked that Chuck got to finish out it's story even if I hated the ending.

Twin Peaks for a third season with both David Lynch and Mark Frost on board. I really wanted to see what happened after the season 2 cliffhanger.
Police Squad which only went for 6 episodes.
Both of these (and Firefly) had follow up films but I still want more!

The Good Guys (2010) with Colin Hanks and Bradley Whitford. This show was hilarious and the two main characters had great chemistry. There was even a scene in one episode where they were discussing the vinyl vs. CD debate.

Mandy Patinkin loves to leave shows early- Chicago Hope and Criminal Minds come to mind. At least he's sticking with Homeland.

I would have like to seen more episodes of Enterprise. Manny Coto really brought the show to life as show-runner in Season 4 and it could have easily gone for another 3 seasons.

Fawlty Towers. Hard to believe there's only 12 episodes.

    After After MASH?

I vaguely recall watching them.... Better to reboot and adapt the books.

Yes, I loved how Summer Glau played her role. I would also add to the list SGU Stargate Universe.
