My CD tray will open ok but sticks when I try to close it. It seems like there might be an easy fix for it but I don't know what it would be. I took the cover off and looked at it and went "duh..." Anyone have any ideas?

    You could try

A little lube on the tray gears and see if that helps. Be careful, as you do not want to get any inside on the lens.

Um, how do I get to the gears? I could see any when I took the metal cover off.

    With the top off..

Look for a motor than runs. The gears are most likly teath on the tray. If there are no teath, then it may simply be an idler wheel that uses friction on the tray to move it. If it is a idler wheel, do not lube it, it will only make it worse. :righton:

Am I the only one who thought we were talking about a jewel case here? :D and was, for a moment, amazed at the complexity...

    Carry on.
