    Dave,
Did you ever hear "Moonlight Shadow"(Song For John Lennon) by Mike Oldfield? The Female singer (Annie Haslam) on that tune is the lead singer from Renaissance after the original singer (Jane Relf) left.
"Progressive" is a label widely used for all different styles of Music.

I always thought Tull was considered "Progressive" until They won the "Heavy Metal" award! LOL!

What a long quote! But you pegged the Chicago experience Al...couldn't have summed it up any better.

Dave, when was the last time that you heard CTA? I am so taken by surprise, based on your post on this forum, that you don't care for this one that I'm tempted to send you a copy when it comes out just to make sure that you are thinking of the same album.

    Alex,

Actually, I have a cd-r of the Sony Mastersound gold cd. So I'm 100% sure that we are talking about the same album.;) Just my preference I guess.

I have always thought that CTA was one of the best recording debuts of all time. Excellent recording, excellent songs, excellent musicianship, and killer guitar work from Terry Kath. To me, CTA is a must have for any rock fan.

    "Moonlight Shadow" singer

Michael: The female singer on "Moonlight Shadow" was Maggie Reilly. She contributed vocals to a number of Mike Oldfield's albums during the 80s, as well as recording several albums on her own.
