Hemsworth? Really? So they're going to shoehorn some sort of flashback or "alternate universe" thing as an excuse to bring him back, since he's a big star now?

I couldn't even finish Star Trek Beyond. I bailed shortly after the Enterprise was destroyed (again). I'm so sick of the Enterprise being destroyed. Plus everybody looked weird in that film - the makeup was off or something. Pine especially looked like an animated equivalent of himself.

But yeah, they'll probably get Pine back eventually. If they don't, it'll be on "Straight to DVD" level. I'm kinda surprised that they're even going for a fourth film. After the first movie, this reboot has been a near-complete disappointment.

Yeah, how is it "The Enterprise" is the biggest hoo-hah ship in the fleet...but you can't take it out of Earth orbit without breaking the thing? I wonder if they insured it with Geico...

I'm seeing a lot of them lately in my own output, Michael. Beginning to think either my browser has something funny in my spellcheck routines...or my fingers have grown so fat they can only land on two keys at a time...:D

I bailed halfway, too. Too stupid. I blame Simon Peg, who wrote the lame script which Was about the same level as a bad original series episode.

Scary indeed. I must have missed it. Though with the eyebrow thing she does sort of split the difference between the two.

Oh, no! You didn't get to the plot twist...this time, it's Spock who yells, "K-h-a-a-a-a-a-a-annn!" What a mind-blower...!
(Extra unexpected plot tweak - the guy you knew from the first 5 minutes was gonna be Kahn? Turns out...it's Kahn!)

OHHHH, NO! I'm so sorry, ummm...*SPOILER ALERT*-!
