I've just listened to this for the first time. What an enjoyable experience! So this is her debut album? Can anyone share any insights into this album and Christine McVie's career in general.

This lead me to the Chicken Shack and this great single, both sides!

It's basically an offshoot of Chicken Shack, with some help from Danny Kirwan and others. It wasn't a success and Christine didn't like it and decided to retire from the music business (!) - until she joined Fleetwood Mac.
I don't think it's very good, the material is rather weak.

'Christine Perfect' was a reissued by Pure Pleasure records some years ago, now OOP. It's a good though not great album, but the highlight is her version of 'I'd Rather Go Blind' . Seems MOV have just done it on coloured vinyl but that will be from a digital source. 'The Legendary Christine Perfect Album' title is a 1976 reissue ('Legendary' being added to the title). Obviously to cash in on the success of the 'Fleetwood Mac' album.

The Legendary Christine Perfect Album is out of print. But all of the tracks from that album except for I'd Rather Go Blind are on Christine Perfect - The Complete Blue Horizon Sessions. I'd Rather Go Blind is (oddly) on The Best of Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, where it is attributed to Chicken Shack.

    Actually, it's not.
Pure Pleasure have a slightly bizarre "re-press as needed" policy, so their titles are continuously out of stock/back in stock but rarely completely OOP. This one has mostly been available anyway, I bought it from them last year and is still in stock as of now

  12. Never could figure out why I’d Esther Go Blind and even the remix of Albatross was on this set.

"I'd Rather Go Blind" is also on Chicken Shack's "The Complete Blue Horizon Sessions" 3-CD set...

Speaking of, Speakers Corner is currently reissuing The Pious Bird Of Good Omen, they're listing it as "coming soon"

While I’m pretty sure Christine’s recording career is over, I really would love to see her do one more blues-themed album, made up of covers and originals, and backed by John, Mick and Rick Vito.
