It may very well be, but on the other hand, it doesn't really matter if it's them or not as there is very little incidence provoked by this one second tiny apparition. :)

Maybe if the original film is available it could be zoomed in on Bladerunner/CSI style to reveal the proto-Beatles.

Theres a high chance it could be Paul but its not likely to be the others, also it doesnt have any real value sadly.

Probably. George wrote a song called "Horse to the Water" a few decades later.

By that blurry 1 second clip, I couldn't tell they were even people.
Also how can they even be sure it's Mike (if they are not sure about Paul).
It's not like it's close enough to the famly resemblence.
    But I remain optomistic...

I can verify that you and the world series are both somewhere in that photo.

According to the accompanying article, they're not. But that is the McCartneys' house and Paul has said they used to climb onto the roof and watch the police show, so it's plausible that it could be both of them.

Is this what we've come to? Analyzing stick figures in the background of a grainy black and white film, and trying to suss out if it's our boys enjoying a nice sunny day? Before you know it, we'll be arguing about if Apple is going to do anything for the Sgt. Pepper 50th anniversary!

I, for one, think it really is pretty cool. Of course we'll never know for sure, but so what?

That is the biggest non-story I've seen in a long time. (Other than the Sgt. Pepper 50th thread being 78 pages now).
I normally consider Roger's website to be a source of interesting and sometimes reliable information (and sometimes not reliable). But I think it must have been an INCREDIBLY slow Beatles news day for him to have to stoop to this level to publish this non-event, non-newsworthy story. There is no way, given the resolution of what was published that you could make out any kind of individual faces in that film. Heck, it could have been Elvis up there too. Unless Mike McCartney actually remembers the actual event, his identifying who was in that photo is meaningless.

    Fake news indeed!

Nope. It's Jimmy Hoffa and DB Cooper.

    I know those faces anywhere . . .

Everybody knows Elvis never visited Liverpool, so we can rule him out at least.

And Mike McCartney didn't "identify who was in the photo"; he said it could be them. And it could: it was his and Paul's house, they did watch the event from that spot every summer, and that particular summer John's friend Pete Shotton was a police cadet at the time*, so it's plausible that he would join them. And where John and Paul were in those days, there was a good chance George was around too.

*(If nothing else, I'm greatly amused to learn that, since everything I've ever heard about Shotton amounts to him being a holy terror at school with John when they were kids. I'm reminded of the Simpsons episode where Bart wants to be a cop.)
