Starting the morning with the Monteverdi Vespers performed from this set. Here's a picture of the original (?) packaging.

What a beautiful cover, especially for a budget label. Image is too large for my screen.

    That's better.

Just a heads-up (seemingly good news) for people who buy from ImportCDs, especially those on the East Coast. It looks like they have a new group to handle administrative matters. The payment interface has changed. And they shipped to me from Kentucky instead of California. So the order I placed on Wednesday showed up yesterday. I had chosen priority shipping (but not 2 day shipping) which cost less than a buck more for 7 discs. Packaging was good too - an Amazon quality cardboard box.

    Nice!

So they offer priority shipping now? That's a change as well.

And the discs I received included the Richter WTC and the Kuniko Xenakis. I may be able to listen to a bit later this evening.

Thanks for the link. Isn't this the same box that was selling for well over $100 a while back? Horowitz used to be my favorite pianist years ago when I first got into classical music ...

The Kuniko/Xenakis disc was great. I have nothing else like it in my collection. I need to find a way to hear it in surround.

Currently listening to thr Katona Brothers play Bach on guitar. I really have very few guitar and/or lute SACDs.

IMO, they're the most acssesible pieces by Xenakis as long as you can stand percussion ensemble works
