Cleaning Question on Technics Cd Player :-)

Hi,

I have an old Technics sl-pq 570a technics cd player. I was cleaning it today and noticed that the "wheel" that holds the cd spins rather uneven. It is the plastic wheel on the removable metal plate over the cd I'm reffering to. When taking the metal plate off, it is pretty loose. Is this normal for Technics cd players or should it spin completey level?

 

When the CD loads the spindle motor and hub assembly (the opposite part of the "wheel" you are referring to) rises and locks the disc between the two. The "wheel" you refer to is supposed to be exactly as it is.
