Lesson learned. I guess the term "customer Service" doesn't really count for anything anymore. I'm getting old!
Collector's Choice is merely the mail order division of the largest one-stop distributor in the US, AEC One Stop. Personally I don't expect much in the way of service. Full refund with prepaid shipping isn't that bad. You want a personal touch, try Bull Moose, Soundstage, Acoustic Sounds, Music Direct or Elusive Disc.
Yeh collectors choice is the Same as Deep Discount & a bunch of others ......... same thing has happened with both , Returns but no Exchanges . Only time i had a problem with this is when they wanted me to send back a Vinyl box that was $350 with no tracking .....not a chance , you also lose any sale price that may have been going on .....
While I am not hugely upset over their returns process it is very odd and a little inconvenient. IME you call and tell them you have a bum copy of a record; they will offer to replace or refund. I chose replace once, they physically mail you a label and you send it in. After that nothing happened. I had to call in and ask what was going on, at that point they told me I was "supposed" to call in (WTF) about the replacement. I ended up asking for a refund. The second time is still in process, I just asked for the refund straight away and am assuming I will have to call in to actually get the refund. Interested to know others' experiences as well. That said I like their pricing and sales and multiple outlets for ordering (despite the inconsistent pricing between them).
Got another big box from the .com version and 32 pounds of records were loose in a rather thin box. Half have corner dings and several are creased. The box had busted open along two edges. Amazing the damage wasn't worse.
Amazes me they can stay in Business with all the returns they seems to do & it's something that can easily be corrected & for little $$$$
The small orders ship with nice protected boxes. Weird thing is they can just tape the proper boxes together for a large shipment. As to staying in business--25% off helps; add that to a sale an you are buying at dealer cost (i.e. 40% off list). Blue Note 75s for $12.40. $25 Rhino 180 gm RTI pressed LPs for $15.55, new release rock at $10-$18 vs. $15-25 in stores.
Not sure if this will be of much interest, but I'll give it a shot. Big star Live in Memphis 2xvinyl $11 & $3 shipping Buy Vinyl Records and CDs from Collectors-Choice at Discogs Marketplace » The usual suspects also have it at amazon slightly higher prices $15 shipped
You have to watch their listings as they have a habit of placing the same lp in different price ranges. They had Pink Floyd Endless River at $12.01 and elsewhere in their listings they had it in the high $20's. There's a bunch of listings like that......
New Frightened Rabbit LP New PJ Harvey LP Last year's Babbadnotgood LP Hate these 25% off deals. Shipping almost kills it though, I guess you really have to pile on the records before the savings really outweigh the shipping significantly.

Nice, I ordered that one too. I actually found that one on vinylcollective deals and decided to add it here. I hope it sounds good.
I am on my 3rd copy of the same 2-lp set one came from imortcds , the other two from collectors choice ...... I just don't think this Packaging they use works for me on lp's , they all come shape with a C bend , seems that sticky overlay causes the packaging to pull up & stay in that position & the vinyl inside to do the same ...... Ordered the same lp from Amazon for $3 more & it showed up perfect ..... I have 2 more different lp's on the way this week from CC , we'll see how that goes ....fingers crossed .... Lp =
