    On this day in 1966 controversial comedian Lenny Bruce died of a drug overdose. Dustin Hoffman played Bruce in the Bob Fosse film "Lenny"

    As excellent as it was, Fosse's Lenny didn't do justice to the life of Lenny Bruce. He was truly ahead of his time. His style, politics, and, of course, humor live on even today. RIP Mr. Bruce.
