got this today and soon realised that it's an imported edition, originating from korea. a japanese insert and obi have been added.
anyone tempted by this should probably buy from korea as it's about 2/3rds the price.

Suprisingly good album. Picked up an Aussie pressing for $5 when I was in Melbourne last year. Worth a listen.

 

I had written to Real Gone Music a few years ago requesting this on CD with bonus tracks. They wrote back to say "Already trying". Not sure if it is still in the works or not!

The Real Gone Music release was delayed a bit as they found some additional tracks. This now has 8 bonus tracks, and comes packaged in a mini-LP style sleeve. Very nice work from Real Gone!

Wow, she was really good. Just ordered the Real Gone CD!

 

I really liked her version of Lu when it came out in 1970 and after buying it, got the added bonus of the beautiful Let Me Pass By on the flip. The alluring picture sleeve didn't hurt either.

 

Yes, Peggy was pretty wonderful. And as the liner notes state, it was clear she was a fan of composers: Laura Nyro and Carole King. Her own compositions were surprisingly great. I think she has a co-write or two with her ex-husband Quincy Jones on a few tunes.

I always hoped she'd make another record.
