They are a Danish builder called Davone. The smaller speaker is their stand mount and they call it the Ray-S (after Ray Eames). The bigger speaker is their floorstander and it's called the Grande, however they should have called it the Charles (after Charles Eames) IMO and it seems most of their speakers are nods to the prolific mid century designers.

If you'll notice Davone took inspiration (metal bases, molded birch plywood, walnut veneer (end grain showing) even some of the angles from the Eames Lounge Chair (circa 1956 and still going strong) and other Eames furniture from that time period.

Their other models are somewhat based on the chairs as well such as the Riva which to me looks like the ottoman of the lounge chair above.

I love those Davone speakers and would have given them a serious look if they had distribution somewhere near my location.

I am very partial to the Harbeth speakers in Rosewood (I like the 30.1). The proportions are nice and the construction detail is excellent.

I also like most of the Sonus Faber line.

FYI, it looks like they sell Davone online ... which I was not aware of until I looked just now, but when you start to approach those prices you would expect to demo at a dealer or something.

Beautiful, all you need is a turntable set in the middle and you would have ultimate the 70s radiogram.

    The KEF LS50s are beautiful.

I also like the Oswalds Mill Audio Minis for something with a bit more funk.

Especially with a "criss-cross" design in the material

Wow...those look pretty nice. But they would look even better with "thicker" wood and a smaller gap between the cloth and the wood

I've never had much opportunity to listen and they don't exactly disappear into the room, but no doubt in my mind that Sonus Faber has the nicest finish and cabinetry at this point.

As for vintage, my roommate in the AF had a pair of Ebony Yamaha NS-1000's and they were gorgeous!

Ugh. I picked a pair up at a yard sale for$15. They looked dated but not necessarily in a good way. (I won't talk about the sound). Glad I sold them on eBay for $600.
