I saw Sammy Davis Jr in the round with my parents. I think this was the same concert where Freddie Prinze ( the comic) opened for him.also saw Johnny Mathis with them.

One of my very first concerts was seeing Ricky Nelson at the Orange County Fair in the early 70's with my mother. In 1975, I saw Charlie Rich in the same showroom in Las Vegas at the Hilton where Elvis Presley use to play. We were suppose to see Elvis the very next night, but that got nixed. We did see the great Fats Domino in the Hilton Lounge on that same trip twice in a row, because my brother dragged me back to his show without my parents on the second night. We were both under 18, so I still don't know how he got us in there. He must have tipped somebody really well. :agree:

Never! My folks didn’t do concerts. The only one I ever recall them doing was Sinatra’s comeback tour in 72 or so? And that was a work function so it barely counts.

Flew with my mom from Maui to Honolulu to see Fleetwood Mac in March 1980, the TUSK tour. I was 14 and it was my first "arena" show.
Still got the shirt my mom bought that night.

It made up some for me getting left behind at home when FM came to Maui in Dec. '77 .... That was too hot a ticket to use on a child, apparently.

Personally, none. Mrs Bewlay and her brother took their parents to see Springsteen at Mile High on the Rising tour, which I think is pretty cool.

I saw Dick Dale & DelTones, and Gary Lewis & The Playboys with my Dad
at the Hollywood Bowl in 1967.

I took my Dad to see the Righteous Brothers in Las Vegas before he died.
And I sent him and a date to Sinatra once too.

REO Speedwagon in 1989. It was the most 5/10 concert you could imagine. Besides a few shoddy cover bands that's all.

I saw in 1986 with my father, on consecutive nights, in Vancouver for Expo86 - The Eurythmics with Jean Bouvoir opening then Bob Dylan with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The first concerts I ever attended. The Eurythmics one was in an amphitheater setting where we had good seats, the Dylan Petty show was in the stadium and we were as far away as you could get. The sound was mush.

The only concert, outside of classical music, that I saw with my mother was Blue Rodeo sometime in the late 90's. Her favourite band.

My father and I still do concerts together. We've seen a lot of groups including Black Sabbath (with Ozzy), Ted Nugent, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Gordon Lightfoot, Deep Purple, Bruce Springsteen, Jethro Tull (and Ian Anderson solo), and a bunch of others. We were supposed to see the Mike Love Beach Boys touring group in March. As of right now, it's rescheduled for this coming March.

My mother doesn't do as many concerts, but she's come with us a few times (mostly to Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and various shows at Musikfest).
