There was a Record Theater on Liberty Road in Baltimore that looked a lot like that. It was the closest large record to where I grew up.

I found an article about it's closing in 96 and it was the same chain. I can't find a picture though.

This one closed just last year. (assuming it is the one on Main St - actually not sure - either way they closed down recently)

You must be referring to Gary. Yes he is still selling vinyls, and still doing so only after office hours. The atmosphere in this tiny shop is friendly. Nice guy with happy customers

I used the Time Machine to try to scare off one of my former girlfriends and prevent her from ruining my 20's. But when she saw me with white hair, she jumped on the Time Machine and came back with me. Now I have real trouble. I will need the machine a little longer to figure out how to solve this. Maybe if I go back with white hair and ask her father if we can get married, he will put an end to it.

Does a Kevlar vest still work if it has not been invented yet?

We had one of these in my town, near a record store, I remember when the nationwide total was less than 200,000 sold, and it was real hamburger. Now it is 200 Trillion.

I only put this in here because serious record collectors try to spend as little on food as possible.

A meal might cost you at least three records or CDs.

Peanut butter on clearance bread is all you need.

A 15 cent hamburger back then might pay for an A-Side of a 45 RPM

"For a few years, it also had Extreme Aggression almost directly across the road, a store owned by the notorious "Daniel" I mentioned earlier in the piece, which was dedicated to grind/death metal. He had previously operated Pipe Imports as a record store in a small arcade about 30 metres from ML for, so far as I know, 15 years or more."

I remember I went in to buy Deicide S/T CD after seeing a clip of them on some local current affairs show during the metal is bad mmm-kay hysteria days.... Daniel said he'd sold out because of the coverage on the show, lol.
Bought tons of cassettes off him back in the day... wish I'd kept them...

I'd like to visit Canada one day, it looks like my kind of place. We have Tasmania which is a bit Canada- like, fairly cool a lot of the time.

Technically not a store, but a great picture of Berliner Records in Germany, the FIRST maker of flat records
