I would buy a series of Husker Du Re-Issues that omitted the Hart songs. hell, sign me up for the Deluxe Box Set.

And yes. Have had a copy of this since it was released.

Great album. I especially the like the run in the middle of "Hoover Dam"/"The Slim"/"If I Can't Change Your Mind".

Love both Sugar albums, and Black Sheets, which came right before. Loud guitar Bob at his best.

Mr. Mould is well thought of in this household...:)

Don't forget the live CD coming out on Record Store Day. I think it's free.

I never could get into HD or Bob Mould's solo stuff but I loved Sugar. I also have the copper-covered limited edition of the debut, along with Beaster, the very difficult to store limited edition of F.U.E.L. and the limited double disc of Besides with the live album. Great band!

Please lay off the autotune Bob, this is a superb track in every other way...

I 'blame' his electronic/techno hobby for the use of autotune. I'm not a fan if it either, but Bob has earned the right to do whatever he wants.

Indeed he has, but it sits less well in a song like this that's otherwise a revival of the Sugar type sound. Would prefer the imperfect Mould vocals we all know and love.

Copper Blue is one of the best albums of the 90s, imho, and it is one of my top 10 favorite albums ever. The first four songs might be the greatest 1-2-3-4 punch ever to open an album. Put it in, crank it up, and from "The Act We Act" through "Helpless" everything works.

I had the Rykodisc for years, and I like the Merge reissue, but it took me a while to adjust to what I hear as a change in speed of "A Good Idea." Seems faster on the original, with more fire.

Bob Mould is woefully under recognized as a major influence in US rock music. Dave Grohl gets props for commonly acknowledging Mould's influence.

The Black Sheets of Rain tour show that I saw is my top 5 concerts ever. The closing/encore of "Cinnamon Girl" was epically fast and loud.

Didn't Dave introduce himself to Bob as the guy who had been ripping off his stuff for years?

Check the Merge Records site. It will be in a free Bob Mould-themed fanzine they are putting out for RSD. No idea which stores it will be in or how wide the distribution will be. Going to try my best to get one too.

In addition, we will celebrate the career of Bob Mould with our very first zine! It features an introductory essay by Michael Azerrad plus personal stories, artwork, and photos submitted by Bob Mould fans from around the world. The zine also includes a CD of Bob’s 2014 full-band live session for Chicago radio station WXRT. Support your local record shop and pick up your free copy on April 16!
