You Zep apologists remind me of a documentary I was watching last night. It consisted of 2 sons of Nazi confidants of Adolph Hitler pretty high up in the regime. One son was disgusted by his father's actions while the other one, in spite of overwhelming evidence kept insisting his father was a good, decent man. Guess which son you guys are.

 

Actually, all of Holme's Dazed "melody" is just hundreds of years old poetic meter. He got the copyright on his lyrics for sure. Once Plant changed those they probably could have just changed the title and been good. I wouldn't be surprised if the "inspired by Jake Holmes" and not a traditional credit given was because you can't copyright poetry timing and beats.

 

Exactly. Legally this was perhaps a sound victory, morally not so much.
