A cover of "Blackbird" buried in a cover of Van Morrison's "Sweet Thing": by The Waterboys From wiki-- "Sweet Thing" is a "surprisingly successful"[6]cover of a song by Van Morrison, originally from Morrison's 1968 album, Astral Weeks. The Waterboys' version on this album is a medley; the song ends with the unplanned addition of verses from The Beatles' "Blackbird", which Scott impulsively sang on the spot. Does anybody know if there is a list of Beatles covers recorded before 1970, while the band was still active? I would be very interested in such a list as I think there where not too many. I know 1960s recordings by Willie Nelson (Yesterday), Esther and Abi Ofarim (She's leaving home) but not much else....
