Just bought a CD by Lorette Velvette which has an interesting cover of John's "Happy Xmas" which got me wondering. What others? What are some of your favorites?

    Here's a few:
Leon Russell - "Beware Of Darkness"
The Smithereens - "It Don't Come Easy"
    Phone Snow - "Every Night"
    Faces - "Maybe I'm Amazed"
Marianne Faithfull - "Working Class Hero"

One of the Dakota Demos fleshed out a bit more by Fastball's Miles Zuniga.

Patti Smith (with her bassist Tony Shanahan) covered "Oh Yoko" at a Lennon tribute concert that was officially released.
The last few years, Patti has also been singing "Beautiful Boy" live.

I really like Brian Wilson's "Wanderlust" from the Art of McCartney. Thought he and B. B. King's "On the Way" - both solo Paul, were wonderful contributions (and completely opposite approaches).

There's actually quite a lot of covers out there.

Start looking up discographies of various artists covering John, Paul, Ring and George - that's where you can find a lot that way.
