[IMG]Every once in a while, I e-mail back and forth with Graham Nash. This morning, on a whim, I wrote and asked if and when the CSNY 1974 set was ever coming out. This is his reply, just received:

It’s done, finished…. 40 songs, 3 CD’s, 1 DVD with 8 videos, 188 page book….. Vinyl, Blue ray etc and it will hit the street on July 8….

The image is a computer glitch on my end - I couldn't figure out how to delete that coding. It's nothing to do with the actual post - sorry!

As to sound quality, I'm very encouraged by this statement by Crosby in Rolling Stone about a year ago:

"Young has insisted the album be released with the best sound physically possible. "He's got it at two million bits," says Crosby with a laugh. "He's a fanatic. You can get him mad by just saying 'MP3.' This is getting mastered at the highest quality available in the world."

Also Young and Nash absolutely raved about the performance quality.

maybe there is more than 1 song per video? Like, video 1 is Roosevelt Raceway - 5 songs; video 2 is Seattle, 4 songs.

I know, a longshot, but still looking forward to this release

Looking forward to this. For all the over-coked bs that went on on this tour there is some really incredible music. Pushed It Over The End is an unreleased epic in the same way that She's Your Lover Now was in Dylan's catalogue. Even Neil's less great songs from this tour sound fantastic when CSN add harmonies - Hawaiian Sunrise, Love Art Blues etc... I imagine the lack of film included in this release is quite possibly coke-related. That Wembley show makes one wonder if the band were trying to get the whole world to clean up by taking the entire world supply of white powder in an afternoon. There's a story that Nash was caught with some at the airport but due to his celebrity status he got off with a warning and the punishment of writing 100 lines "I may be a superstar but i mustn't take cocaine through customs". Crosby and Stills then snorted all 100 lines and asked Graham to keep writing.
