Never seen that, I bet it's worth a fair bit more than you paid, as I recall their live sets were full of their classic tracks rather than their latest ones, I think that somewhere I've got a cassette of one of the shows I went to.

Speaking of Mighty Diamonds, and thus, by association, also speaking of Channel One, sadly Joseph "JoJo" Hoo Kim has recently passed away. Channel One Studio founder dies in New York Joseph Hoo Kim's legacy lives on
My favorite label, my favorite sound, everything was perfect Revolutionaries Taxi Gang Roots Radics can't get much harder
On a totally different level, here is something far more funny than another RIP Great lyrics and badass flows from Shaggy and Agent Sasco, who wins in my opinion
I remember reading some really bad reviews about that one year's ago I'm guessing it is that bad by your response
a few people kinda like the different New Orleans arrangements still it might nbe best to make your own judgement but only after you've discovered the list I posted!
It's a big variation in style and doesn't fit the rest of their catalog. The above list has the priorities. Not listed is Kouchie Vibes from '84 on Burning Sounds which has a great alternate dub/vocal cut (reverse from what's typical) of their Pass the Kouchie song.
It's not necessarily bad, it's just that it's strange, by Reggae standards. New Orleans musicians (and very good ones too) who either try to play Reggae and get it wrong, or, maybe more likely, want to put their own stamp on it and intertpret it in their own way, but either way it comes out sounding weird. I have it in my collection (even bought a reissue) because I think it is a nice curiosity (but I wouldn't want a whole lot of albums like that).
Yes, it's weird like "Gladiators", the Gladiators album produced by Eddie Grant. Their last on Virgin/Frontline The Gladiators - Gladiators
Yes, I was actually about to mention that as another example. It is as if the label was trying to expand the audience by experimenting with mixing in other influences into the sound (and of course instead mostly just alienating the existing audience). Another one in a similar vein is I Roy (as Roy Reid) Whap'n Bap'n, which I guess tries to add Hip-Hop into the mix, all these are of course Virgin albums.
