Well he is a “fleshier, heavier Beatle these days.”

    Oh my...

Here is an interesting interview from 1980, at Abbey Road studios, where he says that if he were to name his greatest work, it could be 'Sgt. Pepper' or 'Yesterday', or something 'daft' like 'She Said She Said':

She Said She Said, one of the few Beatles songs he didn't play on. It's funny that he didn't elaborate on the irony of choosing that song.

It's funny, I've heard quite a few arguments against that well known fact. Even Chris Carter is completely convinced Paul is in fact on that track.

I think Paul is playing on "She Said She Said". But he may have walked out on the session, or part of it, before it was finalized.

Thats what I think as well. It doesn't sound like John or George on the bass

Am watching Penelope Keith's Hidden Villages and she referenced the "famous song about the mull", that"we all know since 1977". And then showed a couple of photos of McCartney, Linda and his big sheep dog.

I think Paul was there to play bass for the basic track, the "barney" (as Paul called it in Many Years From Now) probably occurred when it came time to lay down the vocals and John possibly told him, "I want to sing this one with George", given that John and George were brothers in acid at that point, it was an acid-inspired song (that Paul probably wasn't overly crazy about for that reason) and Paul hadn't even tried the stuff yet. No doubt Paul took it personally, and that's why he told them "F--k you" and walked out of the session.

Damn, DailyBeatles's posting is making me kinda unsure about the sets being released this year.

    What posting?

Edited to add: You mean this? The Daily Beatle

Looks like mostly the same info already posted here in SHF. What about this post makes you suddenly unsure?

S--t, Arnie, how many times over the years have a bunch of us here batted around the age old "Why did Paul walk out during the 'She Said She Said' session" question?

You may be on to something though- seems to me that being a Beatles "expert" mainly comes down to regurgitating a lot of already regurgitated information...:hurl::hurlleft:

Daily Beatle doesn’t mean anything at all, they have been wrong at every step here lately. Any new info they get is already posted here.

No one knows anything except our fine, actual, real insiders(not the ones who pretend to be)!

There were also rumors that the „Imagine“ Box set would be pushed back to 2019 because of the amount of Beatles-related products.
Which we all know by now was wrong...

In that case, we are experts at regurgitation.

I don't like it much, either the song or the video. It feels done-before. In fact, hit videos by Justin Timberlake, Pharrell, etc. feature ordinary people dancing solo in public. The video has gotten some airplay on American TV, and still it has only 200,000-something views now.
