At the One Republic show in Toronto on Saturday night, Ryan Tedder mentioned writing a song with Paul earlier today his year.
And the world rejoices, as a cover version of "We All Stand Together" is announced for a forthcoming album and Christmas single... Sir Paul McCartney gives go-ahead for charity remake of We All Stand Together
"... The cheerful tune has already seen a new lease of life this year after it was adapted for the trailer for the upcoming series of The Great British Bake Off on Channel 4." We All Bake Together???
The Beatles' Sir Paul McCartney joins grandson in NYC | Daily Mail Online Ole Paul sporting a little stubble in this photo, kinda cool. Wish he'd grow it out for old times sake...
They've updated it since I saw it this morning. Originally that said it was Mary's oldest son with him, but that didn't look right. More likely correct now as his step son.
And the subtitle of the article says: "Paul's wife Nancy shares Arlen with her ex-husband and American politician Bruce Blakeman." So Nancy is "sharing" her son with Paul and with her ex-husband who is now a politician---which to a warped mind like mine implies a mix of incest, orgies, and politics.
Well, a little detective work on my part reveals the real reason for this "sharing" fiesta. No wonder Paul is willing to "share" with Nancy's ex-husband: Councilman invests in medical marijuana firm
Since Paul is working with Ryan Tedder, it is pretty obvious he is hoping for a hit. It did not help John Oates, but we'll see. Can't see current Top 40 in the US playing a song by someone of Paul's era. I do hope he somehow has a hit single or three.
FYI, I stumbled across this video called Paul McCartney's Rabbit Hole, that someone named Swedemason put together (based on Paul interviews over the years) and posted this week on YouTube. It's "Scouse House" music and it's pretty cool. Donk!
I wonder if he would ever try another genre? He gets on well with Kanye West. Would he ever try a rap album or venture into hip hop?
