Rumors are that the Stones will play UK stadiums this summer. If McCartney plays the O2 and the dates coincide, I might reschedule our summer holiday!

  3. Oh yeah; learn which other left handed guitarist Macca copied in order to play his right handed guitar after viewing a picture of him playing the guitar upside down?

Paul is now 75+ years of age. Will he ever get too old to do these type of things?

If you don’t mind I’d like to use this thread briefly for a “Current Paul McCartney Question (not big enough for its own thread, etc.)”

On the lyrics of “Dear Boy”, fill in the blank:
My heart was down and out, but ___ love came through...

I’ve always heard and sung the line as “ but our love”, because it sounds like “are”, and in my American accent, “our” and “are” sound the same.

But yesterday it hit me that he might be saying “but her love” and dropping the H. Confirms more to his accent, but I’m still kind of hearing it with mine, haha

    What say you all?

I always thought it was “but A love came through”. I’m thinking I’m wrong now.

For what it's worth, I checked three lyric sites. All say "her".

I've always thought it to be "but HER love". Lyrically, it makes the most sense to me.

The lyric sheet included in the new vinyl issue of Ram says "her love..."

Thanks Scholars! Don’t know how I feel about this one but I’ll accept that Her is official :( I saw it listed on third party lyrics sites myself this morning and was skeptical but you guys brought the big guns!

My original 1971 booklet of sheet music for Ram shows the Dear Boy lyrics "but her love came through."

This is not what I got from this at all. Big musicians in their own right are doing an ode in the form of a band for the occasion, and the singer and songwriter himself just casually walks on and has some fun with them to make everyone's day.

From September, the one-off which lit this fire. Miles Kane is in this "band", but he had to skip the Stella McCartney performance. He must be kicking himself...

Pictures of Paul partying and signing at Stella's fashion show and after party in LA. Good to see he's finding time to have fun while working
