Thank goodness for the band, The McCartneys; Ringo, Barb and Nancy- most of the other folks seemed very “zombie,” by nature
Yeah some people were too cool for school. I suspect the really bored out of their minds young people were either a) bored out of their minds or b) paid to hang around and look bored. Prob a bit of both.
Paul Ringo and Babs had dinner together in a LA restaurant the other night. Does Ringo live in LA now?
I kept reading this and wondering, "Why were Paul and Ringo having dinner with Barbara Streisand?" Then I realized you meant Ringo's wife, Barbara Bach. Long day.
There's so little real McCartney news right now that even this made me happy... Here's a link to the article that talks about the Laurence Juber digital release of his 1st solo album from 1982. Not very current..sorry.
I didn't even know this was digitally released. Although, I do prefer the old 80's looking clock album cover with no information of the album title or artist on the front.
I've just discovered this podcast: Take It Away Episodes discussing every McCartney release, plus an interview with Denny Laine.
For what it's worth, I identify with the image of Paul and Linda far more than the image of John and Yoko.
It was first released on CD (with these 10 tracks) in 2014, as part of his book Guitar With Wings. Nice to see it's more accessible now!
Amusing that this comes from the (apparently real) Rutland Herald: 'Only Yesterday': John Lennon and Paul McCartney to make Vermont debut | Rutland Herald
Thanks! I agree, it' always been one of my favorite McCartney albums. I hope it gets the Archive treatment!!!
1) Actual "news:" Fans on the Run is claiming Paul is at the Super Bowl, but I can't find photographic evidence yet. 2) Spoiler: Trivia Guess Tessie O'Shea was on Ed Sullivan 2/9/64.
Funny thing is I never really looked into who Georgia Brown & Tessie O'Shea really are. For my money, their claim to fame is they were on the Sullivan show the night the Beatles changed the world.
