I'm considering the purchase of the Ultimate Ears UE-10Pro,
    http://www.ultimateears.com/UE-10_PRO.htm or the Sensaphonics ProPhonic
    Soft 2X, http://www.sensaphonics.com/soft2x.html

Other IEMs to consider are the Future Sonics MG4,
    http://www.futuresonics.com/html/products.html or the Westone ES3,
    http://www.westone.com/music/elite.html#es3 but I haven't found too
much information on these in order to compare them against the previous
    ones.

As these headphones cannot be tested before purchase, I would like to
know your opinions regarding your experience with these, sound quality
    wise.

Ideally, if you have owned both, can you comment on which one would you
prefer against the other and why?

The only in-ear headphones I've ever heard of are the Etymotic Research ER4's and ER6's. People who have them swear they are the best headphones you'll ever own. I never bought them because they were a bit expensive although I see where they are now "down" to $149... and they even added a special iPod model.

EDIT: I just looked at the prices of the ones you listed... these Etymotics are a steal compared to them! :)

As a member of headfi, I think I can comment on these.

The Ultimate Ears headphones are rated by many to be the BEST HEADPHONES EVER -- because they isolate well, sound AWESOME (since it's only you and the music!) and they are incredibly comfortable (how could it NOT be comfortable when they are custom-fit for you?).

The Etymotics, while great little canalphones as well, aren't anything near the awesomeness of the UE 10.

I am currently reviewing the Sensaphonics Prophonic 2X Soft... the most noticable feature right off the bat is that unlike the Ultimate Ears products, these come in a super soft compound, contouring to your ears even more.

I am very impressed with them thusfar... review will be posted in the next issue of Positve-Feedback...
