No, you didn't. Dan never released studio versions of these songs. The Chauvinist Song (a.k.a. I Was Never Much) and Full Moon Mansion (live renditions) have been posted earlier in this thread ;-)

Knowing Dan's love of the Blues I'm guessing it might be an old Muddy Waters song. Joe Walsh recorded a song entitled All Night Long in 1980, the year after this concert, but it doesn't really sound like a song Dan would cover, even if it's a Blues-inflicted Rock song!?

A brand new article about why Dan Fogelberg is underrated as a guitarist.

Reading this, you have to wonder if Sony is ever going to support any kind of rarities compilation for Dan. And who can expect Jean to put up the kind of money that would be needed. Sure glad she hung in there for this project.

This exceeds my expectations, as earlier reports seemed to indicate the Carnegie Hall CD would not be released till Autumn. Great backstory by Jean Fogelberg... Very thankful for her perseverance, and the providential working out of the details.

Maybe Irving Azoff will pay the costs for a rarities package??
Or maybe, if he was going to, he would have done it by now.

Been listening to the soundbites on iTunes. The sound and Dan's performances sound really lovely. Can barely wait to receive a physical copy.

I was just typing this. A search for Dan Fogelberg Carnegie Hall gives me nothing.

Still nothing on Amazon (Monday evening)... Now hoping for Tuesday, traditionally (at least during the past decade or so) the weekday for new music and movie releases on iTunes. It may very well have been the iTunes posting which was the rogue element. We'll know in a few hours...

Also, there is a new update on the Official DF website 'News' page, but below the Carnegie Hall story which is pinned to the top, so you wouldn't see it unless you scroll down:

    A TRIBUTE TO DAN FOGELBERG

The tribute CD featuring legendary recording artists performing Dan's songs will be released Thanksgiving week. There will be a concert on August 13th (Dan's birthday) that will combine a tribute to Dan with his induction into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame (we'll post more details when we have them.) Fellow inducties into the CMHoF will be his friends Joe Walsh & Barnstorm and Jimmy Guercio of Caribou Ranch.

Another 'Update' - This on the Official DF.com site, on Jean's special page telling the story behind the Carnegie Hall Album. She has added an update to her original post of a few days ago, which reveals how the concert was recorded (and how she found out who did it), and how providence enabled her to insert the appropriate names into the credits and acknowledgments of the liner notes.

I dare say we should "keep checking back" for the next couple of weeks, at least up to May 12 (the actual release date) as more of these tantalizing "Updates" may continue to appear "below the fold" so to speak!
