I wouldn't trust the above 'scoop' as anything other than hearsay and conjecture; other than the fact that particular 'newspaper' - and I use the term loosely - has never been reliable, it says that John Logan is involved and we know that's not the case... it's Purvis and Wade scripting again this time out.

When Craig is officially back, we'll know for sure in due course...

The cut/style of the suit isn't much different. Craig just wears his tighter. He works out so much more than Firth for this Bond gig that he can get away with it, where Firth would look absolutely ridiculous.

Nah. Besides, if you want headshots and death, get the guy that directed John Wick :D

The best bit about the possibility of Christopher Nolan directing is I think I once read that his favourite film was OHMSS. Man of taste.

Somebody needs to post a list ranking all the Bond flicks based on the tightness of his trousers.

Maybe Leggy Mountbatten should be picking the next Bond.

I have often said that the Bond steals in Inception were the most entertaining thing in the whole movie. It's not impossible that Nolan would consider directing a Bond film.

    Nah, Laura Dern.

Dern: What did you say your name was?

    Bond: Bond. James Bond.

    Dern: F*** you, Mr. Bond.

  10. Actually, he can't. He constantly looks like a sausage ready to burst from its casing. We all know that this rather ridiculous skinny fit is fashionable right now (although it seems to be on the retreat somewhat), but that is the difference between fashion and style. The former is pandering to young men (and those who mistakenly consider themselves still a part of that target group) and looks absurd in a couple of years (if not already), the latter is timeless.

    Craig is 50, 5 0.

Firth looks way more Bond, though admits he's too old for the part.

Craig can pass for mid to late '30s. More importantly, he conveys the gravity and maturity, as well as the physical demands to pull off the roll. Younger actors wouldn't be believable here, generally. His suits don't bother me; perhaps I'm not as focused on them. It is an updated look and feel for the franchise, whether we're talking clothes, technology or cinematography. The lack of absurd gadgetry is another welcome update.

The opening aerial heist sequence from "The Dark Knight Rises" is also a James Bond sequence with everything but James Bond.

I still find Nolan's thematic choices that arise from the script more entertaining than even his action sequences. For example, the imagery of his children, the voiceover about waiting for a train, the dream within a dream concept--those were what did it for me. I think all of his films at key points repeat imagery of children alienated from their parents to deliver an emotional wallup that is just absent in most directors' work.

I wish they would remake the films in chronological order and set in the era they were written.
    Great books.
I really enjoyed DCs Casino Royale , but then it went down hill. The short story Quantum Of Solace is 1000x better than the film.
