Sad news. I remember Duke Jupiter 1 when it came out. Great album. Sadly, a band most people have never heard of. RIP.

Only heard one Duke Jupiter album, White Knuckle Ride. Really enjoy it.

My condolences to all Dave's family, friends and fans.

Download and stream their albums at Duke Jupiter Albums

I'll Drink To You, Rockin' In a Motel Room, Rock and Roll Band and Little Lady are among their best songs.

BTW, what is surprising is that they recorded 7 albums for major labels without a major hit.

I checked out their site earlier. My favorite is Sugar Blues. It was all over the radio here in St. Louis back in '82. I also like Band In Blue and Gold Coast.

Yes! In fact, I met all the original band members back in 1977 at Glass Onion in Rochester, I was 15! My BFF and I never were ID! We were very lucky to have met them and became their groupies! Lol hung out and partied with them! These guys were the ultimate gentlemen! I was closest to George Barajas and was completely devastated when he broke the news of dying! I hope other fans will share pics and stories! God Bless! Duke Jupiter fan forever!
