David Bowie - Heroes 2017 fixed remaster

And you've been a son of the silent age until now ?

 

Yeah, I noticed that a while back. The sound noticeably wavers and drops away, annoyed me on my headphones. One of several other tape source problems with the shoddy set, on top of the “Heroes” title track, that are apparently irrelevant, and have been classed as “nuts” to care about them, here and elsewhere.

 

Has anyone in the US received the vinyl corrected version of Heroes?

 

Is there a visible difference in the packaging/matrix numbers of the replacement CD compared to the box version?

Received my replacements today.
Now awaiting the Discogs update and a listing for a “stand alone loss of energy mix” disc with no sleeve to appropriately catalog the original-remastered/faulty version !

 

Maybe for that title just replace the "quotation marks" with ¿question marks?

 

You could put the fixed one in the old sleeve, and make a new, more appropriate sleeve for the old Standalone Loss of Energy disc. Maybe using this. I’d find one from the right era but, I experienced a sudden loss of energy...zzzz

Replacement vinyl arrived today. Plain sleeve, vinyl looks perfect.

Although, after all the nonsense surrounding the box and this disc specifically, I’m not sure I actually have much enthusiasm to give it a listen any time soon.

 

The "stand alone loss of energy mix" disc will never be listed separately because it was never released separately. This is also true of Lodger 2017 and Stage 2017 (so far), Stage 1978 and Re:Call 3, and any entries created from breaking up the box set. That's the way Discogs works.
The replacement disc, however, will be listed as a separate release (and assuming no one else does, I will when I receive mine. I'm in the USA. My request has been acknowledged but not fulfilled.(

Got a replacment today. Sent my request in on 1/2/18.

 

There's hope for America then. I received my "raised a replacement" email with an order code from Tash on Jan. 3 in response to my second email on Dec 30.

 

I got the same exact one about a week - ten days ago...
still waiting.

 

I'm very late to this party. Sent my e-mail yesterday and today got this response:

Unfortunately, due to high demand, we are waiting for more copies of the replacements to be produced.
As soon as we receive these your copy will be dispatched to you."

 

Oh! So that is why my replacement CD has not arrived yet (I ordered it earlier this month and have received the two mails others have too.)
