Even though I'm not a fan, I do offer condolences to his family, friends, and fans for their loss. At least you still have your memories, and at least he's not in pain anymore

Also, does it make sense to merge this with the thread on his health issues?

Say what you will about the Partridge Family, but they made some great pop records. Rest in paradise, sir.

Oh Wow, I honestly thought he was older than that but R.I.P, 'I Think I Love You' is an amazing, classic tune.

RIP, the show was a big part of my youth and he was the biggest teen star, replacing Bobby Sherman.

Same cause of death as Malcolm Young and also very young. Scary stuff.

RIP David Cassidy, terrible sad news...

First saw the tv show, much later listened to his 70's Pop Star period over the radio airwaves.

Back in the day, I bought the "I'll Meet You Halfway" 45rpm and hid it so my friends wouldn't know. (Had to, peer pressure and all that). But i'd listen to it by myself because I dug it. RIP Dave.

Grew up watching the Partridge Family every Friday night, hard to believe that was 45 years ago. David Cassidy was the first "Elvis" i knew in real time, so to speak, my first Pop Idol. For a while there he was just the ****, he was everywhere and my 8 year old self thought he was the coolest and baddest.

    RIP.

  24. No, I wanted his TV sister Susan Dey but, yeah, the hair would have been a nice bonus, too.
