Check out the Rattle That Lock and Boat Lies Waiting promo videos from this release and you'll feel relieved :) - the editing is quite good on those!

That's why I was surprised. I hadn't seen this sort of thing from him before. What you say makes total sense - it's interspersed with the interview.

    I'll relax.

I viewed it as an extra, 2 minutes in.

Would also like a blu ray version of Gdansk. And Delicate Sound of Thunder. And...yeah!

So...who's going to the theater showing of this?

Trying to decide if I should go or just wait for the box set. It's about an hour and a half drive to the nearest theater.

I wouldn't pass up a chance to see this on the big screen, but ~1.5 drive is a bit much. It's playing across the river in Cambridge, so just a quick train ride after work for me. Hopefully it doesn't end up like the one night only showing of Roger Water's The Wall. I showed up at the theater in downtown Boston, and the screening had been cancelled due to work going on in that theater! I still ended up seeing the show (significantly outside the city), but it was planes, trains, and automobiles. In the end, worth it though.

Have been checking the DG Cinema website for the Franklin TN theater to go from "Coming Soon" to displaying show times. It still says "Coming Soon" so out of curiosity, I manually check the amc website, and....

    ...sold out. Ridiculous.

I have 2 theaters screening the film within a 15 minute walk. Had to go with the landmark Music Box in Chicago. Enjoy!!! :pineapple:

went to see a movie today and one of the shorts was for LIP. Took me back. Sound was ****, but assume that was because it was a mono trailer

I went to see David last March at the Hollywood Bowl (second show). It was my first time seeing him perform in-person and he definitely put on a fantastic concert! Nearly every moment I was in awe and smiling, especially when he was playing his solos for "Time" and "Comfortably Numb". I can't wait to relive that moment by watching this in theaters next month.

My regular cinema can't show it on the main date so has permission to show it later in the month s I will see it twice :)

South American crowds are awesome to be around during concerts. Granted they are loud but it is not like in Europe where most of us are uptight or in the U.S. where everybody is talking throughout. I doubt we will see that sort of editing for the main film but it is a nice touch for the S.A. fans to show their passion imo.

I'll take an "uptight" audience any day of the week.

Thankfully the performance teaser clips seem much more focused on...the performance.

Oh I've no problem with an uptight or loud and involved audience. I prefer a more thoughtful audience but my point was that the South Americans are fun. I too don't need the audience to over-shadow the on stage performance for this release but I will happily see a little of it in the side pieces.

Does Amazon.it still have the lowest preorder price of the Live at Pompeii deluxe set? The preorder is EUR 26,39 which a Google conversion shows $31.49 USD. I was able to convert Amazon.it to English when I placed the preorder. But now I can't figure out how to do it . I just checked Amazon.it and the preorder price is up to EUR 42,29 ($50.46 USD). I hope they honor the original preorder price.
