No matter what, get them when you find them. They all sound amazing. For example, I still picked up the DCC Jethro Tull Aqualung C.D., even if some have preferred another pressing, it's still my go to copy.

Ringo is my personal favorite. I don't have that many, but I do have Hotel California which I agree sounds great.

I have every DCC gold CD (including 2 or 3 which never got released). My two highest lights of a series with many highlights are probably McCartney and Highway 51 Revisited.

The Doors DCCs are superb. I love Joni Mitchell's 'Blue' and 'Court & Spark'. Al Green's & Roy Orbison's Greatest Hits DCCs are must haves for me, as is Gerry Rafferty's 'City to City' and Cream's 'Fresh Cream' and 'Wheels Of Fire'.

    Start saving. :)

I have all the CCR discs, I always wondered why DCC didn't do the first album (Suzie Q album as I call it)?

they are all great, but I love in particular the two Jackson Browne discs, Vince Guaraldi's "Black Orpheus", and "Eagles Greatest Hits"

Is this for Vinyl or CD?
I only have vinyl. Hotel California is better than any other mastering.

I really like my Al Green's Greatest Hits and the Doors' L.A. Woman. I have all the Doors releases, but I like L.A. Woman the most. I wish they had finished releasing the series.

Has anyone compared the unreleased DCC Soft Parade that is "available" to the AF version.

    Michael I LOVE WIDE S-T-E-R-E-O!

I have many...you can't go wrong...it's what price you are willing to pay. If you have favorite albums you usually can't do better than the DCC...

Yeah, the archieves of this forum are filled with some incredible stories that almost came to be. Not to mention the stories that did come to be.

Steve H could write a book... Hell, maybe he is.

Edit: That list is only for Gold CD's. I can tell you that certain titles where created. For example, I have a vinyl DCC pressing of (GZS 1084) Never A Dull Moment.

  23. Plenty of SHMF threads.
Would be much easier to ask:
    "Which DCC Releases To Avoid"

Really why don't you ask for specific genres, artists, or titles.
DCC titles pretty much cover the gamut:
    DCC Compact Classics

    Enjoy.

I have it and I prefer it to the AF Gold CD. Be careful though supposedly one of the downloads that is "out there" is the same mastering as the AF. The DCC one is more dynamic.

Great, thanks! I wish the unreleased Van Halen 1984 DCC mastering was "available".
