Ssshh! Don't tell anyone, it might become a collector's item because of that!

These albums are on 6 ounce (180g) vinyl, so quality should theoretically be excellent. If they are half-speed mastered that would be even better. I can't see any reference to that on the website, but I have noted comments about a punchier bass and improved dynamics which would be consistent with half-speed mastering.

It's the same as the Music on Vinyl isn't it? The deadwax is virtually identical, one character difference, that's all (same mastering, different pressing?)

just got a copy. sounds nice for whatever price. the MOV is mono (or mine is anyway) from RSD. nice to have a new stereo version. full of sony copyrights so it is officially licensed.

  6. My 12 year old son Alex came back from town today with this Kind of Blue issue 1.

I knew nothing about it - my son just said he thought it looked like something I would like.

Nice when your kids surprise you ! :righton:

  7. Picked up a copy this morning - played it through a couple of times.

Very clean, quiet vinyl - sounds very good with all the instruments in their own space.

Can't find anywhere a complete list of what is lined up for future editions beyond the next 2 which have been advertised. Maybe I'm missing something very straightforward - anyone else found a complete list?

    Best Wishes,
    David

i agree, if the future releases are as good quality it may be a good place to get a collection of classics.

  11. Thanks for that.

would prefer the records 10% cheaper and non of that crap :)

  17. Cheaper records would always be good but ... it's still not a bad price point.

Are we sure this will follow the Italian with 70 issues? The insert contained explains you'll receive one delivery a month with two issues and that the final extra gift arrives with the 10th and finally delivery. That sounds to me like 20 issues. Or am I missing something?

Are any of the supermarkets stocking this? My local WH Smiths closed recently.
