    Hi all:

I'm new around here so please forgive me if this is inapproporiate.

My wife has been searching for years for a song she swears Joe Cocker recorded on one of the "K-Tel type" records sold on TV in the '70's.

She thinks the album was called "Heart Wrenching Love Songs" and the song she needs to find a copy of is "I'm Not in Love". This song was made popular by 10CC, but she NEEDS to have a copy by Joe Cocker.

Is there anywhere I can verify that he even recorded this song?

Is there anyway to find it on record, cassette, or CD?

    Thanks in advance.

    - Mike

This is something I've never seen, even in its common denominator. I've never seen Joe do "I'm Not In Love".

It's not in his key. I'm not doubting it exists, but I've never seen Joe do that song on anything.

I sure can't find it on any of my normal music search sites or Google or Dogpile. The closest I could come was an album called One And Only Love Album which has the song by 10cc and Up Where We Belong by Cocker.

Sure it's not "You Are So Beautiful"? Kinda the same tempo, mood.

Wow, you guys are amazing! The combined knowlege that exists here is incredible.

Thanks so much for all the info. I'll see what I can do with it, but I agree that I don't think he ever recorded the song. I also searched the internet before bothering you guys with this and found about the same (but not as detailed) info.

Thanks again. I really love Steve's forum!

Not to change the ubject but since there is so much "10cc" talk here...
I thought I'd mention that very soon there will be a brand new CD release by former 10cc member Eric Stewart. This is as close as you'll proably get to "new" music from 10cc for a while!

    Mike,

Ditto. I've even settled a few bets w/ my friends on rock 'n' roll trivia using information gleaned from the SH Forum. Think of the folks here as your music "lifeline".

Sure, no problem. My friend owes me lunch from the last wager. There's a fantastic burrito joint here called Ciro's. I'll tell him I'll be bringing about sixteen hundred guests!
