They just did a string of reunion gigs last month, so I'm curious if there might be plans to record again??

    Any other fans? Roll call!

Another fan here. First album was Doughboy Hollow which I played to death. Worked my way back from there, liked them all. Australians do know how to make some good music.

No plans to record again...at least according to Brett Myers in a recent interview on the reunion gigs!

Brett has a new group - Joeys Coop - with an album released a couple of days ago, though I have not heard it as yet!!

Another fan present. I think Ron S Peno has a new solo album coming soon so I doubt Died Pretty stuff will be coming. I've loved Ron's first two albums though.

Yep. 'Free Dirt' and the early singles are my favorites.

I picked up the deluxe Doughboy Hollow in a thrift shop for a buck. Played it to death :D

On the reunion tour they were selling a CD of b sides.

    Huge fan from day 1
The Next to Nothing EP is one of the greatest record ever to come out of Australia
One of the greatest live band I ever saw ( early line up )
but I was hugely disappointed with their last 2 albums which seriously lack songs plus this weird electronica direction

Really liked Doughboy Hollow. Lot of good stuff in their catalog.

I have the one with the great moody photograph on the cover of the storm rolling in, which I think is Free Dirt. I listened to it but it was years ago.

Won't be easy finding a copy of that puppy. Maybe some kind soul will put these up on one of the download blogs. I'll be looking! :agree:

Nice signed copy here on discogs. Not for sale, though.

Doughboy Hollow is their commercial peak, yet sort of an agreed upon classic. Not a bad place to start at all.

Get Free Dirt, Dennis - that's pretty much the beginning and where I started. :agree:

I agree with Doughboy Hollow, too, if you like them you'll definitely want that one as well. Both are available as 2-cd deluxe editions.

By the way, there's some existing threads on Died Pretty with lots of good posts and info that you can search out, but unfortunately they are closed to further replies.

    Beautiful album cover, no?

Check out Joeys Coop debut album Service Station Flowers. It is Brett Myers first new music in a decade and it fantastic. It is available via the Citadel Records website. Highly recommended to any fans of Died Pretty.
Something We Left Behind was only available at the recent live shows. I was lucky enough to see two of the shows and they were magnificent.

Finally got around to picking up the 2CD reissue of 'Free Dirt' on Aztec from '08. I have the original era stuff on LP/45 and some of the extras on the 'Pre-Deity' CD. Looking forward to hearing the other extras.
