Looking at discogs, it's confusing that the 2013 box doesn't seem to have
the same pressings as either the 2009 Warner version or the 2014 Vertigo version.

Perhaps why the 2013 box was so desirable
It looks to be that box had the the Germany Pallas pressings,
but with Vertigo/Mercury labels like the UK originals.

The 2014 individual copies were pressed at GZ.
The 2009 individuals were pressed at Pallas,
but have the USA Warner Bros labels.

Wonder which version the latest box will be?

I ordered. Still have the MOFI 45s on preorder so guess will eventually be able to compare which is best.

I have a rare compilation LP of chosen songs from their first two albums.
Love it. I better should check out those original albums soon.

Man. That is a BEYOND a hard question. The UK pressings are my favorite. They have a lot of air around Mark's guitar that I think, at times, is a little thin on the reissues. The reissues are dead quiet, on flat vinyl, and Grundman/Bellman/Ludwig did fantastic work. I loved them so much that not only did I buy the box, I bought all of them individually.

Perhaps I need a few Vertigos, at least of the Self Titled.

As the OP says the Ludwig/Grundman/Bellman remasters are really nice, beautifully pressed, quiet and dead flat. A worthy reissue. I think I prefer the originals of the earlier albums a little, to me they sound to me a bit more natural and as though the band is playing live, and capture them how they were at the time. But for the later albums, as their sound became more polished there's little to choose between. Bear in mind too that the remaster of Brothers In Arms is a double album (unlike the original), so it has the benefit of fewer tracks a side and more space. If you don't have the originals or have worn them out or can't get them easily/cheaply, I would get the reissued box set. You can't go wrong either way.

So does this new box have the longer CD versions of the songs then? That would count me out for this set, maybe I'm a weirdo but I vastly prefer the LP versions of the BIA songs to the CD. The CD ones feel dragged out while the LP versions seem the right length. Although I guess I could buy the set and sell BIA, since I already have a couple of original release LPs of BIA that I'm very happy with.

The single album required a song edit to fit it all .... IIRC, it was Ride Across the River, or was it Brother in Arms, they had to cut down.

Or maybe it’s why the MFSL’s have been indefinitely (permanently?) delayed?

No, they don't. No download code of any sort. As they're only granted rights to limited editions, they're not licensed to offer them.

I also prefer the originals and they are easy to come buy in great shape.
The DS albums were beautifully recorded and mastered

The 45rpm Mofi to me isn't as open

The vinyl box is today’s PopMarket Daily Deal. I don’t know the exact release date but it’s soon. It appears the contents are a straight reissue of the well received previous box/individual releases cut by Grundman and/or Bellman (I can’t remember which right off hand).

I’m not sure where the new ones are pressed or whethere they use Vertigo or WB labels.

Do you have a link to the Pop Market vinyl box set deal? I checked and the Daily Deal is the CD box set not the vinyl set.

Oooops. My apologies. I just looked at it quickly and misread it. You're correct, it's the CD box.
