Do you always reveal the true cost of audio with your significant other?

    Yes I tell her, heck she has been with me for most of my purchases. We always discuss big purchases, but in 30 years she has never said no, don't do it. In fact she gets irritated at me because it takes me so long to actually pull the trigger to purchase something. I guess I self monitor my spending.

    Entirely honest especially as some of our biggest purchases were gifts from her to me. Before we were married she bought me a McIntosh MC 275 as Bday gift. This year's bday gift was a pair of Sonus Faber Olympica 3s and pair of McIntosh MC1201 mono blocks....

    My strategy is to buy her something she wants, of roughly equivalent value... Works for both of us... ;)

    I do not buy audio gear on credit, nor do I buy anything that will jeapordize our finances or other activities.
