It took Elton John until 1994 "The Lion King" to recover from his "Duets" in 1993.

If the song is good, I don't care. Without duets, we wouldn't have Tramp by Otis Redding/Carla Thomas. That would be unacceptable!

Is this a band? Because you cannot call Lennon and McCartney a duet,

Well, there's your problem right there. I would say good duets that "rock" is probably a pretty short list. You just need to broaden your horizons. There's more to music than rock.

also, its strange, but generally duets members are really ugly :-popcorn:

Duets are fine in general as long as there is a whole album dedicated to the duo, like Marvin and Tammi etc. But if an album consists of a bunch of one-offs, it is usually lame and ineffective.

    Where is the UNLIKE button?

  15. The Louvin Brothers are a vocal and instrumental duo (one of the all-time greatest) with various backing musicians. They are not a band.

  16. Unfortunately you have to like a post before the unlike button shows up.

  17. I love duets as long as they're good. It depends on the song really.

I don´t hate any kinds of music. If two voices perform a great - or just good - song to great effect, I appreciate that. I love the music I love, and ignore the music that doesn´t move me. But I never hate music.

Not a fan of superstar duet team ups. I'd never include those on homemade artist compilations. All ego trips. Elton John - I'm looking at you! Of course these days every record has a "featuring" "and" or "with" credit. It's hard to tell who's record it actually is.
