  3. Strange to think that this wasn't done in 1964. I'm sure there were regular Beatles pillows (or at least Beatles pillow cases) but why not life-size Beatles shaped pillows?

No, but I'm glad he's around, still active, and apparently enjoying life.

I totally understand this. He's active, seemingly good health and looks great to boot. It really is like having a loved one around that you're just used to seeing and expect will always be there.

Hope he lives to be 100+!

So well said! It's just such a comfort knowing Ringo's always been there, and has been providing fun for decades.

How about Pete Best? I wonder how he's felt all these years?

True. I don't like that, and have often expressed my disappointment about it.
However, on the bright side - prior to that 2008 announcement, he had been signing for something like almost 50 years. And from his own home, too. That surely counts for a lot.

Yeah, we can't really relate until we've experienced it ourselves.

I got a cookie at his Capital Records birthday party a couple of weeks ago. That was nice.

No. Zip. He seems to resent being a Beatle and the attention he gets from it. Wah. We should all have such problems. So his presence doesn't bring me comfort. With that, I enjoy his albums, music and feel he doesn't get enough credit for his work and talent.

Ringo tends to annoy me whenever I see him talking about almost anything even when he isn't flashing a peace sign every 3 seconds.

Art Garfunkel is the one who makes me feel comfortable.
His hair alone is like a security blanket.

I haven't seen or heard enough interviews with him to really see anything like you said, so you could very well be right about him being resentful... That said, in the few interviews I've seen, I always get the impression he's quite happy being associated with The Beatles, not resentful... He always says they're the brothers he never had, etc...

I agree with that... If anything, I could see him being resentful of something like that...

All four Beatles feel like part of the family

All four of them got tired of being asked only about The Beatles, and I don't blame them. But at the same time, each one came to terms with it in his own way. In Ringo's case, he now realizes that he must go through the same obligatory Beatles-related questions he's answered for 50 years in order to then be able to talk about whatever new project he's promoting. I think he handles it well these days, much better than he did when he was drinking, pre-1989 .

  25. I would feel more comfortable if Ringo Starr were in jail.
