All over twitter right now.
How sad, if true. It's not up yet on cnn.com or msnbc.com. There's also nothing posted on donnasummer.com. The last news item posted there was back in March, however.
Oh man. RIP. What the heck is going on, this year?
EDIT: Wikipedia has not been updated yet -- hopefully this is just a false rumor? I hope so.
Oh no!! That is terrible R.I.P.
I don't see it anywhere!
Just playing a few of songs yesterday.....
Nothing comes up in Google at this point.
tmz.com is reporting she passed after a battle with cancer.
Whoa! Hope this isn't true, but given the rash of music-related deaths so far this year, I suppose it may well be.
TMZ always has a head start:
I so hope this is NOT true!
That's very true.
She was really awesome. I loved her music. R.I.P.
wiki is now updated as well.
"Hot Stuff" was, well, "Hot Stuff." RIP.
Grew up in the disco era and with her music as soundtrack. Had a chance to meet her in person some 10 years ago during a corporate event, great lady - RIP.
She worked hard for the money-RIP
How terribly sad, I didn't even know she was ill.
At least if that last link is anything to go by it was from natural causes and not from a drug overdose or some terrible accident.
After Whitney and Amy Winehouse, I can't blame Donna deciding to keep this quiet.
God bless her.
well if she had cancer, she might have had it for years though, not sure Whitney or Amy fueled her silence...some people can be very private, and she strikes me as exceptionally private her whole career...
