A post I made on the "do you still listen to cassette tapes" thread brought back happy memories of being able to draw, for example, from memory my favourite logo of all time:

Not sure I could still do it though. I once embroidered the Rush Man logo onto my old US Army jacket!

Give it a go! How many can perfectly replicate their favourite logo?!

I used to be able to replicate the Black Flag logo pretty well, scrawled it onto my faded blue jeans, along with an "anarchy" symbol and all that fun "punk" stuff from the early 80s.

I wonder why mom suddenly threw out those jeans one day without telling me?

I remember trying to replicate the Zeppelin "runes" on a cassette tape insert. That, and the band logos for the Doors, the Byrds, and of course the Beatles.

Not forgetting the Kiss logo! Probably the easiest, but I got this down to a fine art - even the graduated colours!!

Back in grade school and Jr. High I used to draw ACDC. Not in years.

In 1988, I started working for a digital font company. All I had to do was type the words and set them in Cloister Black:

I painted/drew the Marillion logo on the back of every jacket I ever owned for about ten years. Remember denim jackets? Yeah.

There was a dude at school who saw the Traffic logo once and could draw it from memory. When we tried it was always lopsided

Here's a photo of the double door to my garden. The logos are painted (by myself) in glossy paint. They were done about 15 years ago. Don't think I'd have the patience for it nowadays ;) In the middle a DVD for size reference.

These. Drew them on everything 25-30 years ago. Denim jackets, Nike hi-tops, desks, lockers, etc.

At the risk of turning this into another Beatles thread, were the Beatles the first band to have a logo? :D I believe so...

this one was the only one I'd consider for a jacket, maths book, sports bag etc. Quite easy once you get the D & P sorted.

The Ventures had a logo in place that's stayed pretty much the same since 1960 or so, and I'm pretty sure someone else may think of some earlier logo.
