Was watching the KISSology Volume 1 DVD last night, and didn't make it through "100,000 Years" even once. Peter Criss's solo on record is boring enough as it is; watching him actually do it is coma-inducing. Gene and Paul were right to limit his solos just to the live shows. I know Criss is supposed to be Krupa-influenced, and MAYBE he was trying to emulate "Sing, Sing, Sing" but my goodness: Krupa got more magic out of hitting one tom than Criss did out of his whole kit! So that got me to thinking: what other drummer(s) should be stopped before their solo goes on for three more hours?
