That's the point. It was a really callous and ignorant thing to say.
ok, not really in a record store, but I heard someone ask someone if they liked Fleetwood mac, and the guy , ahhh he's ok..
I heard a guy ask the clerk if he had any "Boze Scaggs" (that's how he pronounced it). He then added, "I hope you do, Boze Scaggs is my favorite singer."
White Rabbit is about Alice Cooper.
That they were selling a legitimate signed copy of "The Jackson 5's Christmas Album." Two problems:
1) The signatures on the cover are printed, and are just part of the artwork,
2) The guy claimed the album he was trying to unload was signed by Andrew Jackson.
Just glad to hear there are still record stores for dumb things to be overheard in.
Long live dumb things overheard at records stores.
Helpful tip: Don't ever, EVER, listen to Baba Booey talk about LP's.
Because many kittens will be kicked. XD
"Do you have any overpriced sealed Led Zeppelin records that I'll be too afraid to open?"
Possible sealed copy of Led Zeppelin II RL pressing??
Howard ripping him over that is priceless
" I am a big Ed Zeppelin fan, he his so great! "
Because, you know, Gary's got over a thousand pieces of voi-nyl. XD
By the owner talking to a customer about the mfsl MMT Beatles album:
"Thats the audiophile Magical Mystery Tour. Best sounding version you will hear"
I never said a word. Just smiled to myself.
Overpriced sealed Led Zeppelin stuff, no.
I do have a sealed Dread Zeppelin "Un-Led-Ed" CD with the first cover, a sealed 12", and some Birdcage 45's in the Dynagroove Records inventory
For all the stupid things I heard in a record store I could write a book.
[A sample] Jimi and Nona Hendrix are brother and sister.
Oh, I've known a couple people in my lifetime who were that musically dense.
I've met TWO people now who had no clue who Pink Floyd were.
Yeah! Just where do you get off being so young and knowledgeable???
I'm looking for a song.
I don't know the name of it.
I don't know who sings it.
I can't really remember how it goes but it says something about love.
My hatred for cats might be clouding my judgment, but I feel the same.
Heard whilst watching the vinyl spin in front of them: 'has this been released yet?'
I'vee seriously never heard anyone refer to a record as such other than Baba Booey! Do people really do that?!?
"Can I interest you in one of these Air Supply albums from the 25 cent bin?"
I want to start a new thread: "How many pieces of vinyl do you have?"
Those silly old aunts.
Separate names with a comma.
