Any of their albums made after 1993 worth checking out? Any standout songs?

Nothing as good but a few songs here and there. Of course you’ll get other views from other posters so check them out for yourself.

I've read that Astronaut is their most favorable album since "The Wedding Album".

Was it the chemistry that made it all work again?

I need to revisit their latest Paper Gods album but on first listen I didn’t like anything from it. Which is odd because I can usually find at least a few songs off of their later albums I do like.

I quite like the All You Need Is Now album from 2011. Astronaut is good, too. I've honestly been pleasantly surprised by much their output in the 21st Century.

I’d say Astronaut and All You Need Is Now are the two that I’ve read about being the most favorable. Chemistry could be but songs, production and timing could play into it as well. Thank You was a covers album, Pop Trash seems like an experiment or something, Red Carpet Massacre tried going for Justin Timberlake like sound which could be a mixed bag depending on one’s taste, Medazzaland not sure what to say about it right now, Paper Gods seems like a newer direction.

I hate The Wedding Album, it’s my least favorite album by them, so I’d say everything after it is better than it. But Medazzaland is the only album after Big Thing that I really like. Paper Gods does have some good tracks.

I wouldn't say I hate it but don't love it. The two singles are in their all time top 5 songs but the rest of the album didn't do much for me

I really like "All You Need is Now".
like it more than the Wedding album.
Especially the title track is classic Duran Duran.

Some stuff on other later albums I like.
"Astronaut" is a return to form with all five of them back together.
    For however long that lasted.
    Just the one album.

There is something to like on every album for me, but All You Need Is Now is one of their best albums period, not just late era.

I second this. Astronaut was pretty good. But All You Need Is Now was brilliant. It sounded like classic Duran. Like they picked up right where they left off in 1985. Fantastic album.

I saw them on that tour and I thought Pop Trash Movie was a great song.

just a quick sketch/worthwhile tracks working backwards from "paper gods" to the self-titled "wedding album." and there are actually tons worth checking out, these just jumped off of each album as easy/obvious ones.

Definitely check out "All You Need Is Now". That's probably the late period album most can agree on. Personally I'd also recommend "Red Carpet Massacre" and "Paper Gods" even though they suffer from the "Duran Duran featuring syndrome". That's something this band doesn't really need. "Astronaut" I'm still having mixed feelings about while "Medazzaland" and "Pop Trash" are quite good.

    I
I concur, but also think Paper Gods is a Strong Album. I ended up buying both CD Versions with different Bonus Songs on each of them, as liked all 5 Bonus Songs. One of those Versions with Bonus Songs was sold at Target, and might have been the last time I bought a CD from Target, as now they only sell a few Titles on CD and a few Titles on Vinyl, so they are basically out of the Music Physical Media Business(at least for In Store Locations, as not sure about their website).

I think ‘Pop Trash’ or ‘Astronaut’ was my first Duran Duran bought CD, but also bought ‘Greatest’ around that same time to have a Collection of their Best Songs. I eventually bought a few of their ‘80s Titles on CD.

U2 has same disease of trying to be real vent on pop charts. I wish each band would instead focus on art and not chase a hit....

That retail policy was pants. Talk about sticking it to your hardcore fanbase. TheMan alive and well...
Bonus track "Northern Lights" should have made album.

Here’s another vote for All You Need is Now. Great songs! And the Wedding Album is my favorite DD album, there I said it!
