I’m using EAC to archives my out of print CDs, for these I wish to have a CUE sheet so that any copy will be exact.

I’ve not previously bothered with a CUE sheet as I know sound wise it doesn’t make any difference.

Ive set EAC per http://blowfish.be/eac/Setup/setup3.html#no3g and double checked all setting are correct. In file naming I’ve used %N - %T and placed the sheet in the folder along with the tracks (FLAC) and the M3U file.

However when I attempt to load the CUE sheet in EAC I get a message like this each time, although the file and line number will be different.

    Error in CUE sheet

File does not exist in line 4

The CUE sheet looks like this

I can’t work out what the problem is, can’t see why I’d need to edit the CUE as I’ve not set up a separate directory for CUE sheets.

Any help will be much appreciated, taking into account, I’m not technical with these issues

The problem is that the actual files are FLAC and the filenames in the cue-sheet are WAV.

FILE "01 - Expo 67.flac" WAVE etc. would work.

    But this message now

    Error in CUE sheet

File type not supported in line 4.

All the files in the folder are FLAC, just double checked this.

Sorry if this is really stupid.

yes, this is the problem but don't know if EAC decompress the .flacs to wav and burn at the same time...even if EAC do that is not a big deal.

    stephen@hennefer,
decompress the .flacs to wav first using eac3to, a.audition(for example) and burn the waves using the same .cue in EAC that you posted.

    cheers!

Also to note, although this may not be "your" issue. Eac does not like punctuation. I had trouble with tracks like that have words like "Don't". Editing the file names and cue files to remove the apostrophe worked for me.

i never had this kind of problems Bass, even ripping some Russians classics.
no need changes in the names or ponctuations, the issue is the audio format.
    EAC don't burn .flacs!

Hi, what you tried in post #4 would have worked with burning software that supports flac. Most programs need an additional plug-in installed, that you have to locate, to do it.

Sorry for the confusion. I didn't remember that EAC doesn't burn from FLAC directly. Here's a little tool you may find useful:
